Ecceasia: the third year of the European project dedicated to extra virgin olive oil gets underway in Taiwan.
The slogan for 2026: “More vitality to life”
Taiwan, one of the two key markets for the Ecceasia project, is hosting the launch of the third and final year of the three-year programme promoted by Unaprol and CAP and funded by the European Union under Regulation (EU) No 1144/2014, dedicated to promoting high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The new cycle of activities kicks off with a packed calendar of events spanning the catering and retail sectors.
Having explored the link between taste and well-being in recent years, the project concludes its journey with a new key message — “More vitality to life” — which encapsulates the evolution of the narrative: EVO as a daily ingredient capable of bringing energy, balance and quality to contemporary life. The aim of this final phase is to consolidate the results achieved, strengthening knowledge of the product among Taiwanese and Japanese operators and consumers through direct experiences, guided tastings and opportunities for gastronomic exploration.
Catering: EVO oil takes centre stage in experience and culture
The programme involves some of the most renowned Italian and international restaurants in Taipei, Hsinchu and New Taipei, transforming the restaurant into a place of storytelling and discovery.

During the promotional events, chefs from the participating restaurants will enhance their dishes with European extra virgin olive oil certified as PDO, PGI and organic, which will take centre stage in the culinary offerings, showcased both raw and in cooking through contemporary and fusion dishes, as well as more traditional ones, demonstrating its versatility and perfect integration with Taiwanese culinary culture.
Not just tastings: each event will be accompanied by talks on the organoleptic profile, origin and nutritional properties of EVO, presented in an accessible yet authoritative manner.
Retail: the story of EVO also unfolds on the shelves
Alongside the catering sector, Ecceasia is strengthening its presence in the retail channel with activities in selected Good Well group outlets, transforming the shopping space into an experience.

Here too, consumers will be able to take part in guided tastings, receive information materials and learn more about the characteristics of European extra virgin olive oil, through direct contact that combines education and discovery.
The decision to use the same venues, both restaurants and retail outlets, is in line with the objective of consolidating a select and ongoing network in the Taiwanese market, strengthening permanent outlets dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of high-quality European agri-food products. Continuity with local partners also allows for the development of an increasingly structured collaboration with operators in the catering and distribution sectors, fostering greater awareness of European excellence and its consistent and authentic promotion across different consumption contexts.
With this third year, Ecceasia completes its journey in Taiwan, consolidating a dialogue built over time between Mediterranean culture and the Asian market. The slogan “More vitality to life” thus becomes the essence of a project that has successfully presented extra virgin olive oil not only as an ingredient, but as a symbol of an authentic, balanced and contemporary lifestyle.
